My name is Jenna. I am a soon to be intern and a little nervous about using technology in the classroom, but enjoy exploring new things. I grew up in Humboldt, where I attended public school and over my career as a student became very involved in the community. Through out my teen years I was very involved with Scouts Canada, and became a member of the Saskatchewan Serice Corps where I developed a love of the outdoors and desire to learn. Where I’m from makes me who I am, and hopefully the experiences I have had in my short 21 years will make me a better teacher. I love being busy and particpating in physical activities, yet am easy going and would probably die without all the naps I take.
I have very little knowledge or experience with technology, and I can already say I’ve learned a great deal in ECMP355. I would love to take away whatever I can from this class and apply it in my own classroom one day. Hopefully my love of learning rubs off on my own students and we can teach each other about technology. Technology provides access to the world, and I think it would be a shame not to take advantage of that in the classroom. Technology has a lot of power, and with power comes responsability. If we want our students to become critical repsonsable thinkers, we need to give them that power.
This class has already exceeded my expectations. I have so much to learn, and can hardly wait. My only concern is with my lack of experience, I may have dificulty keeping up. I hope that everyone has patience and I will put in my greatest effort to do well in this class.

Thanks Jenna. I really hope you gain a lot of useful information for your coming internship. That’s where I think this class will be really useful.
Things to consider:
1) Personalize this space a bit more. Perhaps this is something you will use in your internship? Perhaps start building something toward that goal.
2) Link to pages and people in your text. This will make things more interactive, and provide more traffic.
